I just love love love this session & have been dying to share it with you all :) Now that the holiday season has come to an end, mom just loved this gift, I can finally unveil these little tidbits of winter family fun! We traveled to Pennsylvania to celebrate the holidays with my husband's extended family recently. Our gift to everyone was family portraits :) It was nice to be able to capture & preserve these memories for them all. Time passes so quickly, how will you remember these fleeting moments? I love the simplicity of a black & white lifestyle image, illuminated with only window light. This is different from my usual style, but there's just something about this image that I love (aside from the fact that it's of my favorite little guy ;)!!! In light of recent events, I felt this was an appropriate post for today. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the town of Newtown CT - let us not take one moment for granted & remember to always find the good in life.

This lovely woman is my very own mom :) As time goes on people tell me more & more how much I'm starting to look like her - I should be so lucky! Of course I've also inherited her dislike for being in front of the camera (but really, what woman doesn't), so I'm trying to encourage women everywhere to be on the other side of the lens more often. I love having the opportunity to photograph extended families, especially around the holidays. Everyone together in one room, the feeling of love & unity in the air - it's magical. Being able to capture & preserve that feeling forever is so special to me :) This wonderful family is so fun & full of life, this session is just filled with excitement. And how incredibly sweet is this little guy?! Those eyes! So glad I could save these memories for them.
